How to fix freesat or freeview box stuck on red light or dead
From time to time all electrical devices that run on software can lock up or get stuck in standby with red light on. Here is a guide to how you can get it back up and running again.
- Start by doing the obvious. Switch off at mains for two minutes and switch back on. Allow time for the box to boot fully which can take up to to two minutes.
- If this doesn’t work check if the unit will switch on using the standby button at top of the box.
- Unfortunately if it is still stuck on red light there is nothing externally you can do. But in most cases this will fix the box.
